With our deepest regret, and all of a sudden
we must say „Good Bye” to our beloved Choir Director,
Karl-Josef Kappes
Choir Direktor, ADC
who has always been a great and generous example to all our singers.
We, the singers, have been surprised by the bad news during a reheaersal.
What a shock !
Few weeks ago only, Mr. Kappes has been honoured with the „German Bundesverdienstkreuz”
(the German Order for Special Services to the Public) in order to honour his services for choirs.
When laudating him, it was mentioned that Mr. Kappes had a very feeling of „tact” -
all meaning his human, his social, as well as his musical tact.
And, in fact for all this meanings,
Mr Kappes has shown this „tact feeling” every week.
For more than 30 years
Mr. Kappes has shown it week by week, concert by concert.
We are thinking, that Mr. Kappes has been a „Constantian” ever since by heart.
(Our last journey to the River Moselle, where he participated, proves).
The singers of the choir as well as the chairman
will always remember their Choir Director - in a most honorable way.
And include him in all our hearts.
Our hearts are with the widow -
who has lost her husband in such a tragical way.
She may always rely on the feelings of the Singers and Members of the Choir.
